What Others are Saying

Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine

Consulting-Specifying Engineer Magazine: "Many engineers are predisposed to the notion that a high-performance building simply can't deliver ideal indoor air quality because of the costs associated with conditioning lots of outside air. To that, the engineers from Lentz Engineering Associates, Inc., say, "Nuts."

Innovation Examination: A Closer Look at a New Idea

Dr. Stanley Mumma, Ph. D., PE, Fellow ASHRAE: "The (Regenerative Dual DuctTM/SM System) uses far less active cooling resources than the traditional VAV system under all of the cases investigated, with VAV systems requiring up to 2.3 times the active cooling resource. The IEC unit, when properly sealed and maintained, does not pose any potential for cross contamination from the scavenger stream to the OA stream. This is not universally true for enthalpy wheels.

ASHRAE President's Blog

Mr. Kent Peterson, PE, Fellow ASHRAE, ASHRAE President, 2007-2008: "The Wausau School District has worked with one of our ASHRAE members, Mark Lentz, from Wisconsin. Mr. Lentz has spent years developing an innovative method to provide HVAC with substantially less energy. His strategy (Regenerative Dual DuctTM/SM System) has been conceived to address the twin challenges of providing a high quality indoor environment while substantially reducing the system operational annual energy use.
