Trademark and Servicemark

The Regenerative Dual Duct SystemTM/SM is the intellectual property of Lentz Engineering Associates, Inc., and has been granted Trademark and Servicemark protections through the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office Registration Number 3,170,524, protected under the Trademark act of 1946, as amended.  Computational methods are trade secrets.  These protections were sought to protect the concept from damage and loss of reputation that would be brought about through misapplication by untrained and unqualified practitioners.  

While the strategy produces a relatively easy to construct and inexpensive installation which is extremely flexible, versatile, and efficient HVAC system, it is constructed about the unusually sophisticated application of multiple technologies that are poorly understood within the U. S. HVAC industry.  It is a particularly difficult system to design, requiring very high skill levels and care on the part of designer.  The strategy can be substantially compromised by over-design and requires special care in the final setup and Commissioning process.  Due to the deliberate use of interaction between the processes involved, it can be particularly challenging to troubleshoot.
